How to Prepare Your Metallic Sticker Design File

Here are some quick tips for preparing your metallic sticker design:

  • Font size should be above 12 points for clarity.
  • Use Sans Serif fonts for better readability.
  • The metallic shine is most noticeable in lighter colors and will be less prominent in darker ones.
  • Ensure your CMYK design file matches the mask for metallic printing.

File Preparation for Metallic Printing:
You’ll need to submit two layers: a standard CMYK layer and a silver foil mask layer.

  • The mask layer indicates where the metallic ink will be applied. Mark metallic areas with black (100% K) and non-metallic parts with white.

For example, in the artwork:

  • CMYK Layer: Standard color design.
  • Metallic Print Layer: The black areas will receive the metallic finish.

  • What is the printing turnaround time?
    Turnaround time refers to the number of business days it takes to print your metallic stickers, excluding weekends, holidays, and shipping. Use the order calculator for delivery estimates.
  • Are metallic stickers waterproof?
    No, they are not fully waterproof. However, the UV coating provides some protection against moisture.
  • Are the stickers cut individually or on a roll?
    Metallic stickers are individually cut and will be delivered pre-cut and stacked.
  • How do I download free print templates?
    Templates are available in various sizes and formats. Simply choose your preferred format from the Templates tab and open them with your editing software.
  • What is the difference between foil printing and metallic printing?
    Metallic printing uses ink to achieve a full color spectrum, making it suitable for detailed designs. Foil stamping uses heat and pressure to apply foil onto paper in limited colors like gold, silver, and copper.
